American Corporate Identity - Blue Iris logo captures a distinguished Award of Excellence - 2003
American Corporate Identity is the only annual national competition devoted specifically to the field of corporate identity. The 18 previous competitions have provided a highly respected showcase for the very best corporate identity in use today in the United States. Winners in previous competitions have included a wide range of work from large and small companies -- ranging from work for such giants as AT&T and FedEx to small businesses that are literally "cottage" operations. The American Corporate Identity annual is distributed to more than sixty countries around the world.
The Blue Iris logo will be featured in the American Corporate Identity 2003 Annual - David Carter, Editor, Published by Harper Collins.
About the Logo:
Iris was, in Greek mythology, the winged goddess of the rainbow and fleet-footed messenger of the Olympian gods. She was usually depicted as a young woman with golden wings and a herald's rod in her hand. In the logo she instead holds the caduceus, a staff entwined with two serpents that is today, the universal symbol of medicine and healing.
This imagery was chosen and designed to represent the direct, swift delivery of vital clinical information. The color blue typically represents quality, trust, reliability, belonging, and coolness.
The complete Blue Iris identity (logo, brochure, data sheets, Web site, and trade show booth graphics) was designed by the Clark Creative Group of San Francisco, CA. The creative director was Annemarie Clark and it can be seen in the portfolio section of their web site at www.clarkcreative.com
